Short answer

Editor: Two or three sentences: what the general binding rules are, who sets them in England, and that Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own regimes. Quote and cite the GOV.UK page (source ea-permits-septic). No rule text until sources.json has it verified.

Who the rules apply to

Editor: Septic tanks, treatment plants, cesspits. Which ones the rules cover, from the official page only.

The rules, nation by nation

England

Editor: Quote the conditions from the GOV.UK general binding rules pages (ea-gbr-ground, ea-gbr-surface). Each condition gets its source line.

Wales

Editor: Natural Resources Wales equivalent (nrw-septic). If not verified, show "We haven't confirmed this for Wales yet" with the official link.

Scotland

Editor: SEPA registration and authorisation (sepa-septic). The current regime is RtV.

Northern Ireland

Editor: NIEA consent to discharge (niea-consent).

Worked example

Editor: One household, one nation, walked through the checker above. Use only verified rules.

When you might need a permit or registration

Editor: Official triggers only, per nation. Never state what penalty someone will or won't get.

Buying or selling

Editor: Link to the buying and selling checklist; quote any official sale duty with its source.

FAQs

Editor: Four to six FAQs from the People Also Ask box, answered from official sources only.
